A Winnipeg blogger commissioned me to create a book cover that would represent the cultural flavour of the local art scene within the city. I took inspiration from the historical figure Louis Riel as a modern-day shopper and added local attractions to the background.
A Winnipeg blogger commissioned me to create a book cover that would represent the cultural flavour of the local art scene within the city. I took inspiration from the historical figure Louis Riel as a modern-day shopper and added local attractions to the background.
Before creating the final digital version, I made a mock-up of the cover using watercolours to see if it would work as a whole. The end result is charming and a fun nod to the locals and tourists who frequent the city.
